History & Vision
On February 4, 2012, the successful journey of the community school began with 18 students.. This journey began with the KG class at the Panchlaish campus of CGS NC. Currently, the campus is running under the CGS Lower school.
Gradually, the branches of the program grew in the various campuses of CGS. On April 1 of the same year, another class was opened with another 14 students. Currently, 150 students are studying in classes (1 to 8) at the Panchlaish campus. On January 19, 2013, its second branch was opened at
Sarson Valley on Chatteshwari Road, which was under supervision of the Middle School. Where (KG to class 4) 136 students were studying. On January 19, 2015, the third branch in Chittagong was opened at the Nasirabad campus of CGS NC. The activities of this campus were shifted to the Finlay Zaran campus on March 11, 2018.
CGS Community School’s Middle campus and NC campus merged on 2nd April 2018 and started their journey at NC’s new campus Finlay Zaran. But from 15th January 2019, the two campuses resumed their activities independently. Currently, there are 118 students in classes1 to 5 at the Middle Campus. The number of students currently studying at the NC campus in Finlay Zaran is 223.
CGS Dhaka Campus is not far behind. On January 23, 2014, the activities of CGS Community School Dhaka Secondary Campus started. Where 179 students are studying.. On January 23, 2015, another branch of the Community School started at CGS Dhaka Primary Campus. There are 114 students. This education project is ongoing in every campus of CGS.
A new campus of the Community School Bhatiary (CSB) was launched in January 15, 2019, at the play park opposite the main gate of Bhatiary, BMA, on the initiative of Mrs. Shereen Ispahani. The number of students currently studying here in classes 1 to 5 is 138.
Our mission is to empower underprivileged students to achieve self-reliance through quality education. We aim to foster development through primary and secondary education, instill strong moral and social values in every student.
We are committed to creating basic education opportunities for all school-aged children at the primary and secondary level and supporting parents in their children’s education. Our goal is to ensure the participation of underprivileged children in mainstream education and raise awareness of their rights. By providing quality education, we strive to increase the literacy rate among underprivileged children and contribute to the government’s compulsory primary education program. We actively work to expand educational opportunities for these children and cooperate with the national “Education For All” initiative.
